Corene Margaret (Hiley) Campbell, 92, died January 11, 2005 at Iowa Methodist Hospital in Des Moines. Services will be 3 p.m. Saturday at the Lenox Christian Church. Burial will be in North Fairview Cemetery. Corene was born in Yankton, SD and moved to Lenox as a baby and resided there until 1999. She taught in a one-room country school for two years and then she and her husband farmed in the Lenox area until 1977. Corene was a member of the Lenox Christian Church and Christian Women's Fellowship. She had been living in Indianola at Westview Care Center. Corene is survived by her son, Bill (Jeanette) Campbell of Indianola; and two daughters, Carol LaVonne Campbell and Sharon Margaret (George) Clearman, both of West Des Moines. She was preceded in death by her husband, Willard Clare Campbell. Visitation will be Friday from 4 to 8 p.m. and 9 to 12 p.m. Saturday at the Coen-Beaty-Pearson Family Funeral Service of Lenox with family receiving friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday. Memorials may be made in Corene's name.

DORIS N. GIUDICESSITRENTON, MOpublished on June 19, 2005 Doris N. Giudicessi, 79, passed away on Thursday, June 16, 2005 at the Wright Memorial Hospital in Trenton, MO. A Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 a.m., Wednesday at St. Anthony's Catholic Church with burial at Resthaven Cemetery. Doris was born December 8, 1926 to Richard and Luna Cox Wallace in New Market, Iowa. She was married to John Giudicessi, of Des Moines, who preceded her in death on May 12, 2002. She lived in Des Moines her entire adult life until she moved to Trenton in 2004 to be near her sister. She was employed as a secretary for Southwestern Bell for several years before working with Massey Ferguson. She is survived by a step-son, Frank Giudicessi of Virginia Beach, VA; sister, Joan McIntyre of Trenton, MO; brothers, R.G. (Bettye) Wallace of Camden, AR and Donald D. (Marilyn) Wallace of Freeport, IL; a brother-in-law, Tony (Dorothy) Giudicessi of Des Moines; 4 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. A visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. on Tuesday at the McLaren's Funeral Chapel. |
NALLY, ASHLEY
BEDFORDThe Des Moines Register, Des Moines, IApublished on January 18, 2005 Funeral services for Ashley Nally, 21, who died Friday as the result of a car accident, will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Bedford High School Gym. Interment will be in the Fairview Cemetery in Bedford. Memorials can be given in Ashley's name for a scholarship to be established. The Ritchie Funeral Home of Bedford was entrusted with the arrangements. Ashley Renee Nally was born May 24, 1983 in Corning, Iowa, the daughter of Dan and Cindy (Weed) Nally. She was a 2002 graduate of the Bedford High School and was a Junior at Northwest Missouri State University in Maryville, Missouri, where she had been on the Track & Field Team for three years. She was double majoring in Elementary Education and Special Education. Survivors include her parents, Dan and Cindy Nally of Bedford; brother,
Jeremy Nally and wife Erin and their son Micah of Bedford; fiancé,
Jason Starnes of Bedford; grandparents, Dave and LuElla Nally of Blockton
and Glenna Mae Weed of Bedford; great-grandfather, Glen Lock of Hopkins,
Missouri; along with many other aunts, uncles, cousins and a whole community
of friends. Preceding her in death was her grandfather, Marven Weed; great-grandparents,
Wilma Lock, Lonnie and Gertrude Weed, Kenneth and Emily Thomas and Norvel
and Alice Nally; uncle David Nally; aunt, Marla Mae Weed; and a dear friend,
Shawna Zech. |

"C.J." Shreck, 86, died of pneumonia Thursday, April 14, 2005 at Iowa Methodist Medical Center. Visitation with the family present will be from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday, April 17 at McLaren's Chapel at Resthaven Cemetery, 19th and Ashworth, West Des Moines. Funeral services will follow at 4 p.m. There will be a private burial service Monday at Resthaven Cemetery. C.J. grew up in New Market, IA, the youngest of five children born to Frank and Jennie Shreck. He was the batting star of the baseball team and an avid clarinetist. He was a good student and as a teenager in the depression, spent three winters living alone in an apartment in Des Moines while working as a page in the state legislature. He attended the University of Iowa and graduated from it's College of Commerce in 1941. He was a veteran of the Army Air Corps, enlisting after Pearl Harbor and served as a bomber flight instructor. After the war he returned to Des Moines to work successively at Wolf & Co., Weitz Construction Co. Western Tool and Stamping Co. and finally Dental-Eze, Inc. He was a long-time investor in Iowa farmland and this enabled him to retire early with a vacation home in Clear Lake, IA, and wintering in Naples, FL. C.J. married his New Market sweetheart, Ruth Shields, on February 1, 1941 in Clarinda, IA. Two children, Bobby and Becky, grew up in the family home on Colonial Circle in West Des Moines. C.J. was preceded in death by his wife, Ruthie; two brothers, Benjamin "Brodie" and Lyle; and two sisters, Susan Johnston and Marie Fesenmeyer. He is survived by his son, Robert (Cherie Vinz) of Des Moines and their children, Benjamin (Mara Krongard) of Washington, D.C., Heidi of Salt Lake City, UT, and John of Houston; and his daughter, Rebecca and her children Sothavy, Sothea, Choey and Nani all of Fairfield and Sheyla of Iowa City.
